Yes, absolutely. The railway is free of car traffic and supervised by our tour guide. Our bikes have seats, and the rider is in a low position. Moreover, the rider does not need to balance as the railbike is stable with four wheels on rails. Due to misuse, the railbike might go off the railway line. However, even in this case, the possibility of injury is minimal.
For extra safety, you can put the belts on. On a crossroad and bridge, you will pass on foot.

We operate on a schedule  wich can be seen here https://www.airbnb.com/experiences/1492378.

You can book your tour online or via phone for direct bookings. However, there is a possibility of a personalized tours as well. Please  contact us to arrange the details.

We start our tours in town called Megara. Here is the pin on maps:  https://goo.gl/maps/rTa563LAyHJiemJ77
Usually there is plenty free parking space beside the road.

The tour lasts two to two and a half hours. You will have enough time make several stops. No rush, just enjoy the sights and ride easy.

Our tracks have 8 km in length, so it’s 16 km in total. The route starts slightly uphill, but it’s still easy to pedal. Thus, on the way back, cycling is even easier as the railway goes downhill.

No skills needed. Unlike conventional bikes in ours, you do not need to keep a balance. Anyone can ride them even with their hands. Our bikes are recumbent with comfortable seats as well.

You must be of suitable age, we accept people from 8 to 78 years old at the moment. All minors must be accompanied by one or more responsible adults who are at least 18 years of age.

We can accommodate from 1 person to groups up to ten people. Out railbikes have two seats. We do our best to ensure that you have a cart to yourself, however, on some occasions, groups will need to share. If you are a large group, then please get in touch with our friendly customer service team. They will be happy to help.

Our railbikes have waterproof boxes each and they are ideal for holding personal day bags and extra coats. Please find a list of things you may want to bring with you just below.

  1. Proper clothing ( considering the weather forecast)
Cycling on our rails is easy, however, make sure you wear comfortable clothes and shoes. During the winter bring a light waterproof jacket.
As the weather can be changeable and tunnels cool year-round, we recommend you bring warm layers and/ or a windproof light jacket. Good comfortable walking shoes are best. Robust sandals are fine but, please no jandals (flip flops/ thongs) or heels.
  2. Allergy medications
As in any rural environment, there are insects around and plants. If you require any allergy medications please ensure you have them with you.
  3. Snacks
At the moment we do not offer any snacks at our tours. Feel free to pack your snacks for the ride. At the starting point of the tour, there is a kiosk where you can buy drinks and snacks. Sustainability and being environmentally conscious is a priority at Railbiking in Greece and we have placed bins at the various meal stops for the disposal of all empty bottles and food wrappers.
  4. A bottle of water or an isotonic drink
Water is essential for any physical activity. Bring a bottle of water with you. During the hot weather ideally, you could take an isotonic drink.
  5. Sunblock and sunglasses
The sun in Greece can be quite hard on a summers’ day. Don’t forget your sunscreen and sunglasses.
  6. Camera
There are so many stunning landscapes, please don’t forget your trusted camera with an extra battery or power pack if required.
